Take Control of Your Morning!

“Have you commanded the morning since your days began, And caused the dawn to know its place, That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?” Job 38:12-13NKJV

It is very important that we read the Word and pray daily so that we can “withstand the fiery darts of the enemy.”  We should start each day in the presence of the Lord.  Make it your business to spend time in worship, mediating in His Word, and pray.  It will not be easy; it is a sacrifice. Frankly; let me be real, I love to sleep.  I do not want to wake up any earlier than I have to in order to start my day; shower, put my make-up on, and get dressed.  It is a huge sacrifice, but look at the sacrifice Jesus made for us.  He died for us so that we could live!  Although, waking up early in the morning is a sacrifice for me; I will tell you that it is well worth it. The more you do it, the greater your desire will be to get up and get in His presence!  My days go smooth and often situations that should make me upset or angry just tend to roll off my back!  The peace of the Lord is more tangible when I start my day in prayer.

There are numerous books written by authors such as; Dr. Cindy Trimm, which give you a guide as to how to command your morning.  One thing I will say is to not let the enemy beat you up if you do sleep in and do not spend the time you would like to in God’s presence.  Just command your day and keep it moving!

I challenge you to set aside time each morning to command your morning!  Give the Lord charge over your day and you will see a difference in how things around you operate.  I look forward to hearing testimonies of how your lives have changed since you began commanding your morning!

Prayer: Father God, I give you authority over every area of my life and my family’s life.  Lord God I thank you for a hedge of protection.  I thank you Lord that nothing shall harm me.  I command the angels to take charge over my day, to go before me and make my path straight.  Father I thank you for a productive and peaceful day!  Lord I command my morning in the name of Jesus!  Amen.
